| North Middle School Gator Band |
The North Middle School Band is made up of over 200 dedicated
musicians ranging from 6th through 8th grade and making up 3 bands. The
beginning band, 7th grade advanced band and, 8th grade advanced band.
Students participate in concerts throughout the year as well as having the
opportunity to be involved in Mid-State Band, Tri-Lakes Honor Band,
and Solo and Ensemble Festival. The advanced bands perform at NMS
football games, pep rallies, and the Cowan and Decherd Christmas
parades. Each year the 8th grade advanced band performs pre-game on
field with the Franklin County High School Band at one of their home
football games.
Students who stay in band through 8th grade are given the opportunity to
go on the 8th grade band trip.
All students coming into or already at North Middle School are
encouraged to join band. If you are interested in joining our band program
you can reach Mr. Herring at the school or contact him through this
website.

| Anyone who has an 8th grade band student planning on going on the Orlando trip in April needs to get their order mailed in to the NMS Band Boosters, PO Box 344 Winchester, TN 37398. Be sure and send all paperwork to Mr. Herring. |
